Back in the day I used theraflu or nyquil, but it don't do squat anymore thanks. Anyone know something I can take now that will make me drowsy to help when i'm sick??

A couple Benadryl usually puts me out.

pseudo-ephedrine isn't the ingredient that makes people sleepy. Its primary use, other than in decongestants, is as a stimulant. It increases the heart rate, and has an effect very like a strong dose of caffeine.

The reason they took pseudo-ephedrine out of these medicines has to do with the fact that it is a primary ingredient in home-made methamphetamine.

Look for a liquid cold medicine with alcohol as an ingredient, or do what your grandparents did-- Mix honey and whiskey and take it by the tablespoonful. Repeat until you pass out.

Not a cold remedy, but any allergy or motion sickness medication will usually make you drowsy. The most prominant one is benedryl or the generic or store brand for it.

A turkey sandwich. Turkey has a natural chemical in it that puts a person to sleep....
Some teas.
Physical exercise
