They dont really advertise for it.
To apply for Miss Miami is like going to a casting call. If you're looking at casting call notices online, the headling will read something like "Pageant: Models wanted". It's so lame. The only people who go, are the family and friends of the contestants and of course, people in "the business".
Miss Florida, now, is a different story. That takes place in July, but the crown is for the next year. And you have to have won one of those smaller pageants to get in.
