Say sarcastically, I am doing awful!, do you hate everyone too? It may be corny but it is different and people will laugh. And I admire the fact that you don't want to be like every other boring annoying person in the US.

How ya doin?
- Thanks for asking. Are you really interested or just pretending?
- Twice on Mondays!
- Compared to starving, aids-riden people in Africa, I am doing jolly good!
Have a good day!
- Must I?
- Great suggestion. Thank you ever so much!
- Oh, Geeze. I was initially planning on having a great day.

When they ask you, " how ya doing?," go straight in to singing the Gilligan's Island theme: Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip..etc.................! Sing through the whole song to everybody who asks you how you're doing and also when they say "have a good day". They'll think you're nuts.

nifty swell, haha.
Or you could actually go into detail instead of just a response of a few words.
As for have a good day,
you bet,
i will,
ill try,
for sure.
If someone says whats up, either point to the ceiling or say literally what is directly above you.

Watch 'Bruce Almighty' (again) and learn how to say 'Good' like he does. When someone asks you "How ya doin'?", say it. Somebody else can answer your other question.

Here is a little pyschological trick that's kind of funny.
Ask somebody "How are you doing?"
They will say "Great, and yourself?"
You say "I am doing great, how about yourself?"
Then look at the expression on their face when they think about it, or answer the question.
Other than that, a comedian one was asked if he slept well.
He responded "No. I had a few accidents."

Most people don't really want to know how you are doing - it is just a greeting. Continue to keep your response short and continue the conversation from there.
