If you have smelled a baby and it smells funky maybe you should contact CPS. That might mean they are not properly being taken care of.

Well I am no expert but a baby should not smell FUNKY!!! Change their diaper and bathe them and believe me that they will smell good.

Well you'd smell funky too if you puked on yourself, crapped in your pants and peed yourself and no one bothered to give you a bath.
Clean, well taken care of babies smell sweet and clean....
Neglect smells "funky"

my babies smelled like baby powder or downy softener [their clothes] funky babies smell like dried spit up and stinky diapers, get the hint? because the flesh of baby's new skin smells wonderful.

I think babies smell wonderful. They have this essence that they come out of the womb with that sticks with them for a while. Maybe you don't have kids yet, if or when you do have your own children you will know what I'm talking about.

well, if you keep their dippers changed and give them a nice bath to clean them up they don't smell funky.

Ahh, but after they have a nice bath, and some lotion or powder on them, they smell sooo good!
