You need to list more symptoms.
What happens when you turn the key? Is there just a humming sound? No sound? Any clicking?
The problem could possibly be the starter motor. If that is bad, then a new battery would not help.

You may want to check all the fuses and relays though. If you had a short or something and blew a fuse, that may impede the ignition circut.

Check the thermostat that would be a start you always want to have enough crank power in your battery so clean the battery terminals and posts, you can also check you oil and use a less thick oil like a 10/30w.

it would help if you name more symptoms, like sounds when trying to start it. It could be a frozen gas line to a dead starter.
