What about the workplace in general?

I think there is a lot more perceived racism than there actually is.

If a person from a minority race says 'I didn't get that promotion because of my skin color', it is next to impossible to disprove it. You can say 'well, the company has African-American executives, and promoted a Hispanic manager', but it still won't matter to that bitter person that did not get what he or she wanted and chooses to blame it on racism.

When people choose to blame racism for their lack of a promotion, rather than looking at their own skill sets and performance, it is often an easy way for them to rationalize their own shortcomings in their career and provide a perfect scapegoat.

Having said this, there are probably some places and some companies where management is racist. But racism is a harder position to hold when the best candidate for a position is a minority and you try to find the second-best candidate or third-best candidate to get a person of a race that you desire. The corporate world is competitive enough without adding these kinds of complications.

In Corporate (ie white collar) America - no. Educational background, experience, results, personality, drive and ethics are everything. The business and science worlds are color-agnostic.

In Blue Collar America - yes. Especially the union-dominated service industries and government organizations, where experience, results, ethics and personality have almost ZERO bearing on success (example: have you ever been to the DMV?). They are also home to the last vestiges of affirmative-action-like programs, which perpetuates racial and religious intolerance on ALL sides of the fence.

Yes there is. But I don't call it racism...I call it affirmative action which is the racism/discrimination against the white male.

If people wouldn't play the race card all the time, there wouldn't be any racism.

I believe US politics is littered with white nationalism.
