Donating to charity, trying to help others and living your life without trying to hurt others. If this question is specifically related to gays, I think we all have the obligation to be out. If every gay person came out of the closet, there would be so many of us, and in so many different professions that people would have to stop treating us like second class citizens. Imagine if all of the gay professional athletes, movies stars and politicians came out!
On a more personal level, by being out, you are introducing people to gays, when they might not have known any openly gay people before. I know a lot of people who like me just the way I am... the fact that I am gay has come up several times, but mostly it is from people who say that they have never had close contac with a gay person before and are glad they know and like me so much. It is our duty to be out and proud so that one day, there won't be a need to 'come out' because being gay is so accepted no one cares.

To be open and honest about who I am, what I believe and how I feel. Also to let others know that my opinions and feelings do not diminish those of others and vice versa.
