I know I shouldn't even be thinking about stuff like this but, you can't help it. What exctally is "Still-born"? I've heard about it but, don't really know what it means and does anyone else have thoughts or feelings about this? Can a baby be extremely active while in the womb and come out Still-born? Sorry for asking this but, I had to. Thanks so much.

A baby is 'still-born' when it is 'dead at birth' ... and that could mean anything from having died in the womb before the labor started to dying when it was in the 'birth canal' during labor. Yes, a baby can be 'extremely active' in the womb and still come out 'still-born' ... but if you are 'pregnant' and are wondering if your child might be 'still-born' I'm going to tell you that you are 'worrying over something that is not likely to happen.' You should see a doctor regularly from the time you even 'think' you might be pregnant, and your doctor will tell you if and when you need to 'worry' and what you need to 'worry' about.

Stillborn is any birth after the age of 20 weeks that results in a nonliving baby. Before 20 weeks it is called a miscarriage.

It is unlikely to happen to an extremely active baby, so don't worry! Take care of yourself, eat well and see your doctor or midwife regularly.

My son was stillborn (born dead) at 20.5 weeks at the end of September and I'm pregnant again. And terrified. As for how often they occur? Couldn't tell you but any amount is too many.

My nephew was still born. His mom had a "normal" pregnancy then went into labor and every thing was normal until she was dilated to 91/2-10 she started to push, and they lost a heart rate. They (the Dr's) delivered him as fast as they could but he past before delivery, so he was still born.
