I asked a guy this question. He told me that it gives you the best feeling of relaxation. My Human Biology teacher even confirmed this. However, after the first hit, it's not as relaxing because the body gets used to it, so people take more, and more, and more, just to get the same effect as the first hit. It might be fun the first time, but it gets worse as the addiction progresses.

My cancer in 1993 required me to go through radiation and chemo and my body was in pain, nausea, nerve spasm so marijuana relieved my suffering as this does for many people who do not have to live with pain, marijuana is a medicine not a THC for getting buzzed and drinking. Smoking kills more people than pot but I do wish these stupid politicians would give access to those humans who do not have to be in pain for no reason.

It helps people in various ways...some people use it to escape and relax and to release inhibitions. Other people use it for medical conditions like cancer, glaucoma and arthritis. It can have beneficial effects for people who suffer alot of pain...
