How can I get on the Indian roll?

Im trying to get my Indian card but my father never signed my birth certificate and he has since passed away? Will i be able to get on the Indian roll if I legally change my name to match my fathers?

You have to prove that your so much % Indian heritage,with birth certificates and such.you will need to get in touch with Indian affairs with the feds.on that.they might help you as they have records of a lot of Indians and their names and all that.call some relitives who might have records.Good Luck, wa unkesien ta rec te
