Wont hurt a thing I actually did the same thing ran out of gas in driveway(gauge was sticking) got it to the store filled it up and gauge worked from then on!

A little two cycle oil won't do any harm.

it'll be alright to get you out of trouble. the oil will burn off

it wont destroy your engine, but youll be pumping out a buncha smoke.
