Can anyone suggest any schools or institutions that have great writing/journalism programs?

The best newswriting program in the country for the last few years has been the University of Missouri. Columbia University in New York is also very, very good, as well as Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism.

(I didn't go to any of these schools, so this is a pretty unbiased answer.)
