Obviously it would be hard to find a film these days as good as the old ones such as exorcist or the original nightmare on elm street or halloween but what horror films of the last couple of years have been good in your opinion?

i liked the remake of "the hills have eyes" - looking forward to the second one.

they tend to concentrate more on gore now rather than the storyline - haven't seen a good horror for ages.....saw 3 was ok....

butterfly effect was good - does that count as a horror!!

my fav horror ever was 13 ghosts - that's quite old now though

forgot about 28 days later jaymes - brilliant - sequal coming up too!

Any of the Japanese films that the U.S made bad copies of.
The Saw films.
High tension had me on the edge of my seat the whole film.
Creep.
The excorcism of Emily Rose, was very underated, a more sinister feeling in that film.

I would second that the horror movies nowadays just don't match up to ones in the old days. Therefore i can't pick any as they are ridiculous and nothing worth mentioning. There's afew interesting ones in world cinema...asian etc
