My 89 mustang (4 cyl) has a problem: after I've been in traffic for a little while, about 20 minutes, it starts having trouble idyling, and when I step on the gas it seems choked and very bogged down. It's even stalled a couple of times. It will do this until I get going, then all of a sudden it's fine again. I suspect it's not getting enough air, but I really have no idea what the problem is. Ever heard of this?

It sounds like a catalytic convertor problem beginning...when you step on the gas and it chokes down, this is because it is creating more exhaust gases, and with the clogged convertor, there is no where for the gases to escape. if you want to ask some other mustang owners, ask at MustangForums.com. there is a 4 cylinder section there, with some guys who really know their stuff.
