Mahatma Gandhi, as you know,
walked barefoot most of the time,
which produced an impressive set of calluses on his feet.
He also ate very little,
which made him rather frail and with his odd diet,
he suffered from bad breath.

This made him a super calloused fragile mystic hexed by halitosis.

a good thing to do to learn about him (if you have time) is to rent the movie Ghandi, it is great and tells a lot about his life and what he did (accomplished, etc) He basically protested for peace and did as much as he could to bring peace to the people.

Another place to check for a little more in-depth is Wikipedia. They always have a lot of info and it is easily accesible.
