As they say time heals all. This is especially true with a tailbone injury. The tailbone in fact, apparently serves no purpose other than an injury waiting to happen, and hurtful at that. As you rest it will cease. This may be a prolonged rest and can take several weeks depending on severity.

I did that when I went snowboarding the first time and then I couldn't do ANYTHING in dance. Lol! I think all I really did was ice it a lot. Do what your coach said and rest some more. After a while, do some light stretching (bend forward and touch your toes.) If it isn't feeling any better within another week or so, make a doctor's appointment :/

Neither a sacral fracture nor a sacrococcygeal sprain is much fun, and neither is very amenable to treatment. If you're a week out now, it's time for hot sitz baths, and a doughnut seat may help. Not much else to do. You may need to see your doctor, but I forwarn you: x-rays are not the test of choice, a rectal exam is. And you won't do much damage dancing, so it's a matter of comfort level when you get back out there.

There is a possibility that you broke your tail bone. If that is the case no exercise in the world will fix it. It will be painful for months. I broke mine, and found it hard to even sit down comfortably for several months. Unfortunately, there isn't much that can be done for a broken tail bone.

There is no exersises that can help heel the tailbone. All you can do is rest and perhaps ice it. If it is still pretty bad - you might need an X-ray to see if you didn't break it.

i think you should wait a day or two and before you dance, meditate so you can become more , well I don't know the word but you get the point. Just do yoga and meditate for a while, kay?
