Try Lincoln E-Z cleaner. You can buy it at a shoe store. It cleans suede and nubuck too.

I've heard of people using lighter fluid to clean satin shoes, but I'm not sure this would work with mud stains. Your best bet would probably be to take them to a shoe repair shop and let a professional give it a try. If the shoes are expensive and/or specifically for a particular dress or outfit, you might have to have them re-dyed.
