Some women it just takes longer to feel. Some say it feels like a rolling motion, others say it feels like butterflies. As long as your doctor says the baby is healthy there's nothing to worry about yet.

Is this your first pregnancy? Are you overweight? For many women, it can take longer to feel the baby kick when it's their first pregnancy....mainly because they don't know what to "feel" for. Secondly, if you are overweight you won't feel the baby kicking as much. . . you will probably have to wait until the baby is a little bigger and kicking more and harder to feel him.

I think it's normal to start feeling the baby kick AROUND 20 weeks. Everyone is different and they will feel their baby kick at different times. I would wait a couple more weeks and don't stress out about it. If it really starts to bother you, call your doctor or midwife, or bring it up at your next prenatal visit. I'm sure they will be able to ease your worries.

Good luck!

You will eventually ... with my first pregnancy I didn't feel it until 24 weeks, and this time I felt it at 21.. it depends on your build and the size of the baby, and if this is your first pregnancy, you may not recognize what you are feeling.... If you don't feel anything after 24 weeks, then talk to the doctor... It may feel like gas bubbles, it may feel like a little flutter, and there are so many different opinions on how it feels.. Don't worry.. also being very active has a lot to do with when you will feel it too.... when you are very active you don;t notice it, but if you are laying down resting.. Like at night when laying on bed, that is when you will probably feel it for the first time...

You probably won't feel your baby kick until sometime between 16 and 22 weeks, even though he started moving at 7 or 8 weeks and you may have already witnessed his acrobatics if you've had an ultrasound.

Veteran moms tend to notice those first subtle kicks — also known as "quickening" — earlier than first-time moms. (A woman who's been pregnant before can more easily distinguish her baby's kick from other belly rumblings, such as gas.)

Your build may also have something to do with when you'll be able to tell a left jab from a hunger pang. Thinner women tend to feel movement earlier and more often than women who carry more weight.

Is this your first? My first I didn't feel till about that stage... this one now i felt at 14 weeks. I think alot to depends on the baby, this one kicks alot, my daughter would only kick around 6:00 at night daily. I would suggest getting a medical stregth doppler from bellybeat.com I love mine.. I can hear the heartbeat anytime i want or anytime I feel worried

If this is your first baby you may not feel the kicks just yet. I would say that if you are truly concerned then see your OB as soon as you can.
I would say that you are ok, but you can also spend 20.00 at WalMart for a doppler baby monitor. This will give you the sounds the baby is making, but I would see your doctor first just to confirm all is well.
Best wishes

Every pregnancy is different. With my first pregnancy I didn't start feeling kicks until about 22-23 weeks. With this pregnancy I started to feel them about 16 weeks. Don't worry everything is fine. If you have or have not gone in for your ultrasound yet, Congrats, hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy.

Its okay! I did not feel my baby kick until I was about 21 weeks or so. And oh boy, was he active. I just wasn't feeling him. You may be feeling the baby without noticing it because at first, it is easy to confuse with gas or other intestinal movement. Hang in there!

You wont feel true kicks until about 6 months pregnant. The baby is still only a few inches big. You'll see kicks in an ultrasound though, you should be due for one soon :)

Everyone is different. I finally felt movement at 24 weeks. Hold on a few weeks and you'll surely feel something! Enjoy not being too huge right now!!
