Sr is much closer to Ca than Rb. Both Ca and Sr have 2 e- in the outer ring, so react similarly chemically.

Studies have been done showing that radioactive Sr after atomic explosions can be incorporated into the bones in place of Ca and that can cause leikemia because the Sr is radiating the blood cell forming area in the bones. The body dd not recognize the difference between Ca and Sr.

Look at what Group Sr is in, and decide whether it is in the same Group as Ca or Rb.

The Group an element is in is the main factor in determining its reactions.
