This new homepage cannot be changed, not even in the internet options. There are 3 new flashing icons in the taskbar. System alert: Malware threats, System Alert!, and Your computer is infected! There are also a number of applications trying to download without permission?? Mostly Security downloads like some type of spyware or virus remover program. Oh, I'm also getting these popups that say stuff about pornography and nude sites...asking if I want to install a drive cleaner??????

Okay, I have already ran Spybot S&D, AVG anti-virus, and AVG anti-spyware. All are removing viruses and spyware that others are not catching. However, this has not fixed the problem.

I went on to the nosnoop.com and had it run a full system scan. It found 38 dangerous and sever items.......but they want to charge me about $40 for them to remove it. Is the a program that will do automatic removal for free??? Thanks in advance!

First, we need to identify the problem:
download hijackthis from http://www.download.com/HijackThis/3000-8022_4-10379544.html?tag=lst-0-1
run a system scan and save a copy of the log generated.
post a copy of the log on your new thread at http://www.2-spyware.com/forum/forum8 (you will need to create an account) where a analysis will assist you step by step on how to remove any malware (without the scanning of multiple anti spy programs)

**WARNING** DO NOT REMOVE ANYTHING FROM HIJACK THIS WITHOUT KNOWING WHAT YOU ARE DOING, MOST OF THE FILES, AND REGISTRY ARE REQUIRED BY THE COMPUTER TO RUN PROPERLY
-------
**WARNING 2** I have encountered zlob before, and it caused a great deal of problems for me. sometimes, if you improperly remove spyware, you will remove your winsock as well, which is essential to accessing the internet. BEFORE REMOVING ZLOB, make sure you visit this site http://www.microsoft.com/windows/IE/community/columns/bugbusting.mspx for more information about winsock and it's functions.

POST CARNAGE
----------
Myspace is a minefield for browsers, each profile can contain a worm or an ad that would silent install spyware (via javascript, quicktime exploits, etc).
I suggest that if you are going to use myspace, visit profiles of your friends only, don't browse public profiles. use firefox, ( http://www.mozilla.org/firefox ) and keep your anti spies ready to prevent further infection.
