Let me make a quick point: those bands aren't really "emo." It's just bubblegum pop rock with angsty lyrics. But watch out for Pseudo-Emo Behavior! The minute he starts with the played-out checkered Vans shoes, sulking in the corner, and wearing a hoodie in 35 degree (Celsius) weather, there's not much you can do.
So there's no cause for alarm, really.

You have nothing to worry about. Simple Plan is NOT emo. you don't really need to worry unless he comes home wearing eyeliner, then you might have to start worrying. that's how i figured out my boyfriend was going emo. lol.

if he dies his hair and cuts it weird.
starts acting really differently.
and starts wearing girls jeans.
THEN you can start to worry.
it is okay if he listens to simple plan and my chemical romance.
that does NOT show at all that he is becoming emo or anything like that.
