I have two kids, it's okay to not feel the baby move everyday. They are more still the more active you are. When you lay down and slow down, that child will be ready to party. Also, at 16 weeks, the baby isn't strong enough to be felt all the time. I use to gently press on my tummy when I couldn't feel my daughter. Sometimes, that would get her going. Be aware of any severe cramping and/or bleeding though. That's when to worry. If this is your first, it's okay to get checked out if you feel something might be wrong. . .I did with my son ALL the time and once with my daughter. The reason? By getting looked at when I was unsure, I was more prepared for my second child as to what was normal and what wasn't. Congrats!!!!! Best of luck to you. You're going to love being a mommy. It can be hard, but it's SOOOO worth it.

Within last few weeks I actually started feeling the baby move. Right now I am 19w4d pregnant. I went in for my doctor visit yesterday and he confirmed what I was feeling was the baby. Sometimes I can go three days straight without feeling anything. Other times I can feel the baby two or three days straight. You probably won't start feeling the baby moving more regularly until about 24-25 weeks or so. Don't worry! If you're really concerned you should probably contact your doctor and ask them what they think. You can also get a really nice doppler so you can hear your baby's heartbeat whenever you want. It might make you feel better.

The baby is moving but your probably not feeling it. What you can do is have a glass of orange juice and lay down you should feel the baby move within 10 min. If you do not feel the baby move there is still no need to worry it happens at 16 weeks some women sometimes don't feel the baby move up to 3 days. When you got the doctor just talk to him/her about it see what they think. Congrats! and Good Luck!

Yes. I felt the same way! I didn't start feeling my baby move continuously until about the 20th week. They say that at 16 weeks the baby has so much room to wiggle and somersault that it is very difficult to feel. Although, once the baby gets bigger and his/her living quarters get smaller it is much easier to feel him/her kick or squirm. I am 37 weeks and have been feeling my little boy squirm and wiggle since about 20 weeks. But it will lessen again once you get later in the pregnancy because the baby runs out of room and won't kick as much as before, but you'll still be able to feel squirms. You should be able to count 10 kicks in 1 hour. If you don't, eat a snack or drink something cold and lie down for another hour to count kicks. If you still don't reach 10 by 2 hours, then you should call your doctor.

yes, it is very normal not to feel the baby move everyday. this very thing happened to me when i was pregnant. i was not feeling so well so i went to the doctors and they confirmed it. i had felt the baby move however at that point i didn't know i was pregnant. then another month had gone by and i was freaking out because he hadn't moved in almost 2 days so they rushed me to the hospital. well, long story short they said it was normal. so i do know how you feel. it can be a very scary adventure, but god will guide you through. and remember that everything happens for a reason, we just don't know that reason until after the fact.

Yes, the same thing happened to me and it is completely normal. I would wonder why I didn't feel anything for a day and then he'd be kicking again a day later. Don't worry, in a couple weeks you will feel the baby moving all the time... at least, that is what it feels like to me. :)

Yes, it's normal. And at only 16 weeks the baby is still really small she may be moving but you just can't feel her every move.

Absolutely normal to not feel the baby move every day at that point. You probibly wont until you hit about 24 weeks. Even feeling it at all at 16 weeks is a blessisng, for most first timers they dont' feel it until 20.

Yes, it is completely normal. I am 28 weeks pregnant and I might still go a day without feeling movement. By 22+ weeks you should feel more of constant movements. Congrats and Good Luck.

Everything is fine. Some days they will squirm like crazy and then take it easy for a day or two. This is normal at this stage. But the further along you get, the more movement you'll feel. Good luck to you and stop worrying!
