A bit unnecessary really. It would have worked better if they had stuck with the more subtlely nuanced scenes of the original. I do like both films, but that was the bit that put me off the new one a bit. (Love the soundtrack though). I suppose its just to move with the times, but did nothing for me. Besides Brosnan is no McQueen.

I even have not considered the action picture, yet I even have heard approximately and that i be conscious of that a sought after music from that's thru Mel Torme "Windmills Of Your suggestions", which became horribly lined via Sting for the terrible remake of the action picture.

If you're talking about the one with Rene Russo and Peirce Brosnan.I though it was VERY detailed and unnecessarily long.
