There's a lot of talk in Wisconsin about the Packers picking up Randy Moss. Has anyone heard any truth to this, or your thoughts about it.

Doesnt seem like a bad move to me. He'd be a fantastic target for Favre. As long as he can keep his mouth shut and not be an idiot, he could have a very successful end to his career in Green Bay.

Its just a rumor as of now but the word is that when Farve said he was coming back he pushed for the Packers to go out and get Moss to upgrade the offense. Word on the street also is that the Raiders would only want a 3rd round pick & another WR for him. I read it on this site which is a great site to read up on the latest rumors.http://www.benmaller.com/nfl_rumors_notes
I did read this a couple days ago so it might not be on the latest rumor postings.
Also this was posted by KFFL regarding the issue:
Jan 31 Tom Silverstein, of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, reports there is speculation Green Bay Packers QB Brett Favre would like the team to acquire Oakland Raiders WR Randy Moss in a move to help bolster the offense
You can read it yourself here.....

Do the pack need Moss? not sure...Donald Driver is still great but aging, Greg Jennings seemed to progress well last year and is a solid #2. Adding Moss would certainly bring more firepower to the lineup but his 8-9 million dollar price tag could scare the Pack off. Sounds like Ted Thompson would like to save that money and build thru the draft. Im guessing Brett wants to have a lot of firepower at his disposal for possibly his last year and last shot at glory.

millen is dumb but the lions would never give up a the second over all pick for moss when calvin johnson would be available. detroit isnt going wr though. that would be weird to see oakland with picks 1 and 2 though

there's no way that the Packers will pick up Moss with what he did to them years before. maybe they'll pick up Owens when Dallas releases him.
