I can only think of reasons TO increase the legal driving age!

A few lame reasons not to increase it:

1) More experience
2) More responsibility

That's all I got. I'm for raising the legal driving age. Maybe then we'll seen more teens live into adulthood.

The legal driving age in a good number of countries is eighteen. attempt to attempt the information. Are there better or a lot less injuries in those international places? maximum injuries contain both very youthful or very previous people it truly is why i have self assurance that 18 is a gorgeous good age to commence driving, and that folk over 70 must have a well being verify each 3 hundred and sixty 5 days with the intention to save their license.

If you want 80 year old drivers then yeah, increase it. But the Govt. moans about people not using Public Transport all the time, if it raises the legal driving age then more 17 year olds will be getting lifts places. They won't use the buses and stuff, they'll get taxis and lifts from older friends who CAN drive. And what'll happen to that 17 year old who's just passed his test and you go and take his licence away again. That's not going to give him any incentive to be polite and orderly anymore is it.

I honestly have no argument. The only way that seems to work is if teens can only drive while by themselves or with parents. There are lots of good teen drivers but waaayyyy too many bad ones...or teens who just don't get that a car isn't something to mess around in.

Well one good reason would be it helps teenagers to learn responsibilities before adulthood. But its very hard at 15-16 to have that but we should not punish all teenagers because of others mistakes.

it makes it much tougher on parents. If your kids can drive than you have more time for other things that need to be done. Especially for parents that have kids that play sports. Also kids can't get their first job until they can drive, would make for alot of undisciplined brats.
