Make her a family quilt. That is a quilt made up of squares, sewn together. Each square has the names of a different member of her family, and information about that person. Like if she has a sister named Lisa Brown (your aunt) and her sister is married to aman named Robert Green and they have 2 kids named Mary and David. Their square would look like this:
Lisa Brown Green and Robert Green
Born 01/01/01 born 02/02/02
Married on 03/03/03
First child born Mary Ann Green on 04/04/04
Second child born David Green on 05/05/05
Then you embroider hearts or flowers or a sailboat if they sail a tent if they like to camp or pictures of their pets. You fill their square with things that will make your mom think of her sister and smile. You might want to have the kids sign their names in that material glue, and you don't have to embroider, you can draw or paint or whatever you want. The craft store people can give you some great ideas, especially if you are a beginner.
This is a project that takes some time and also takes help from your family members. If you aren't up to doing the whole quilt by yourself you can do what some people do, you just pick out the material and cut up the squares and give them out to all the members of your family. You ask each one to make their own square, do their own embroidering, and then give it back to you when they are done. You sew all the squares together and then put the batting and the lining together and your mom has a gift she will want to take to her grave.

I'm not sure of your age or what you have available there but I know any Mom would love this...
Take a spiral notebook or fill a binder with notebook paper.
Each sheet represents a letter of the alphabet...
For example: A could equal: "mom you're Awesome!"
or
You're Absolutely the best!
B: You make the best Bread
or
You are beautiful!
You an draw pictures and/or cut clippings from magazines.
It's awesome of you to make your mom a gift!

between the cutest selfmade presents I ever gained became cookie combination in a jar. It became a pitcher jar and interior the jar became cookie combination. there have been notably purple gingham ribbons tied around the precise of the jar. around the lid, there became a splash card with the recipe on a thank you to make the cookies. So, all you will possibly ought to purchase is a few glass jars with lids (mason jars) and a few notably ribbon. in case you do not have already got a cookie recipe, you ought to look on line. It makes an exceedingly lovable present.

Get a small $1.00 photo album and fill with photo's of you and your mother together. Using acid free paper, journal special thoughts of each photo on the opposite page. Sometimes you come across certain photo's that need no words. Have a great day with your Mom.

Try going to www.hobbylobby.com and www.michaels.com. Both have several craft ideas and instructions as well as a list of what supplies you would need in order to make the item. If your Mom wears flip-flops, there are tons of really fun, pretty, wild, or even fancy things you can do to an inexpensive pair of flip-flops that make them really special.
I'm sure there are other craft stores, too, that would have similar project pages ~ i'm in Texas and these are the two main ones. Perhaps others in different parts of the Country could supply you with the names and websites of other craft stores that have lists of things to make.
Good luck. Believe in yourself. A lot of this stuff is much easier to make than it looks or sounds in the directions! =)

You could make her soap, which I'm sure you can find out how to do at google.
Or you could simply cook her a nice meal and give her a hand made appreciation card.
