It depends on how you want to approach it.

On anverage:

Pre-med / BS Degree = 4 Years to 5 Years
Medical School = 4 Years
Residency = 3 Years
Internship for anyone wishing to specialize = 1 Year

For a paper medical degree, on a average, it's 8 years. To practice medicine, meaning to see patients and treat them, you need to do a residency which takes additional 3 to 4 years where you will be trained and practice with an actual doctor supervision.
