Ocasionally we get an inch or two of snow and you would think the world was coming to an end.Let's just go ahead and shut down Houston,TX,fourth largest city in the US and also close the busiest industrial port in North America. The night before all the grocery stores are packed with idiots stocking up for the horrible 12 hour seige of temperatures as low as 30F.

Why cant the councils employ human beings to sparkling the snow away, why ought to that's the unemployed.? If the council may supply me a job to sparkling the snow and a salary to finish that i'd do it 24 hours an afternoon if needed and that i'm unemployed yet i'm a fifty 4 three hundred and sixty 5 days old woman with arthritis yet when i ought to get a job it may in structure me nice even nonetheless I artwork in administration? the belongings I stay in has a concierge and all he does is sparkling the direction outdoors the door although the automobiles won't be able to get out so why cant he spread some grit into the line, in spite of everything he works for the council.? If the unemployed British teen may get off their ars* and artwork for the minimum salary then we does not be at a standstill and we does not choose the immigrants to do the jobs we may be able to do???

its not the uk its only parts of it .weve had snow drifts in northumberland over 4ft high but we still manage to get to work. in london or the south they dont have enough equipment to deal with the certain elements even when they know its coming.in such a built up area it should be easier to cope with it rather than the open land we live in

Well its not pathetic really. Its because we don't get regular snow. In scandanavia it buckets down but then they drive around with snow chains on. We dont because it doesn't happen and we're just no used to it.

No its not pathetic. In this country snow each year is not a certainty and it isn't worth spending millions on snow ploughs etc. to clear a a fall of snow once in ,say, five years.
