what is the other word for the statues on the churches?

The ones meant to rid the area of demons are gargoyles... the others are commissioned words usually by the catholic churches, usually in Europe... and who said christianity didn't believe in monsters.....

The ugly figures and faces are called grotesques and if they are waterspouts designed to carry rainwater away from the building they are called gargoyles (throat) and others are usualy just saints and patrons of the church....

any graven images inc statues no one should bow down and worship them inc crosses it definitely goes against Jehovah's orders . jehovah destroyed the golden calf and some of the people who did an act of worship to it in moses day . people should realise that as Sovereign he will destroy false religions and those images just like he did in olden times. if people think its not worship jehovah stated that no one can comprehend what his form is so if we dont know what he looks like then how can we use a statue to represent him . from the times of nimrod people worshipped idols statues ect and even now people do the same . we have his word the bible we dont need an image statue cross ect
