Well, anytime you're cooking, all sorts of chemical reactions are going on inside the pan. Yeast converts sugar, for instance, into carbon dioxide. The production of this gas is what causes bread, for instance, to rise. The holes you see inside bread are from these pockets of CO2 bubbles.
Burning paper is a chemical reaction - you're reducing it to carbon ash.
Any time you use a battery, you're setting an electrochemical reaction in motion, because the electrical energy you get from a battery results from the conversion of chemical energy. This chemical energy comes from ions inside the battery, like Lithium. (Think of lithium batteries!)

There are lots of chemical reactions going on inside the home.
One is when you wash your hand or do dishes. The soap combines with the oils and forms micelles, which results in a clean dish.
Another is anytime you cook or bake. The heat changes molecules into different forms.
hope this helps

chemical reactions happen all the time, a chemical reaction can simply be something burning, or something changing in form. at home, a chemical reaction could be a gas or electric stove lighting a fire, or Metal from a bicycle chain getting rusted, or many other things that change the basic form of an element or object.

if you are asking how to make a simple reaction, try adding vinegar and baking soda together and you'll see one! several household chems. can react. but be careful if you're goofing around as some can be very dangerous, ammonia and chlorine gasses can be released by some very common household cleaners if mixed! Honest! People die every year from this! they are quite LETHAL! Please be careful! Hope it helps, Mark
