If I was him, I would leave that nightmare in Boston. And I really think that is what he will do. I just read an article today about how Paul Pierce was urging Celtics management to trade their draft pick for some immediate help. Because a lottery is a lottery and there's no guarantee what you'll get. It's a game of chance. Looks like PP is finally sick and tired of playing Ainge's game of trying to build a good team out of rookies. The past three years, Paul Pierce has just been wasting his career in the Celtics, the time has come to see him in another uniform...and I think he will leave the Celtics soon. He's a great player, and deserves better than being stuck on a team that just can't move forward.

At this point, it's possible that Pierce will sit out the rest of the season because there is no point in coming back. If then, the Celtics can get Durant or Oden, or pull of a blockbuster trade for an all-star/superstar, then Pierce will be content going into next season and things might turn around. Otherwise, things are going to quickly turn sour in Boston.

I think that Pierce should rest his injury for the rest of the year(they have no chance at the playoffs) and if they(when they) get a lottery pick the celtics could be a contender in a few years for the championship
