He is responsible, it is believed, for the deaths of several hundred healthy women. He had no discernable motive in most cases. This was not a case of a kindly doctor helping a terminally ill patient to end their life with dignity. It follows that he cannot be described as a hero. He is most certainly a villian.

what a strange question, obviously fishing for lots of responses.
okay...I'll plump for villain - possibly Britain's most prolific serial killer. He was convicter of killing a 15 people (a sample case). He killed many more, possibly into the 100s.
Why on earth would he be a hero?

From what I read a villan.
Killing to just kill old ladies.

How is that a hero for any sane person.
