I've heard multiple ways of doing it. When I line my top it looks good, but I look really gothic-y when I do my bottom, and Only top looks unfinished, but I don't want to look like a racoon! And on the top, you can see a thin thin line of my skin color, even though i line to the lashes! What do I do???

I put on a thin line on top and blend it in with my eyeshadow, then put another thin line on the bottom but only go about halfway around the bottom then take my finger and blend it in...If that helps at all, you can try that.

Line the top. Then line the bottom from the inside of your eyes, very carefully, right where your lashes start from. Such that you only do it in a very thin line, but it still looks modest. Also the bottom doesn't have to be neat, it can't be unless you're doing it from under the lashes, but that, like you said, gives you a rock-diva look. If you want to line the inside of the eyes aswell, do that too. Otherwise, just keep it as it is. And for the showy skin, just redo the top, very carefully, darken teh parts where the skin shows. Make sure hte pencil is sharp enough [Not too sharp tho] to fill up the smallest of area. Good luck :)

make sure your pencil is sharp and only draw a very thin line. if u need to draw all the way touching ur lashes to prevent seeing any skin. also there is a line above ur bottom eyelashes actually on ur eye. try put the eyeliner on there

Go to your local library and get some books on how to apply makeup. That's what I do at least. A good book is " Color me Beautiful Makeup book" by Carole Jackson. She helps you apply eyeliner according to your eye shape and other good tips. The book is from 1987 but is still pretty accurate in tips. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

don't put eyeliner on your lower eye - unless u want to look goth.

i worked in modeling and local fashion shows and none of the makeup stylists did that.

just put a brushing of mascara on your lower lashes, careful to not make it spider like - your lower eye should look natural but pay attention to the lid, lining the outer area, apply mascara to curled lashes and accent with beautiful shadows.

It looks better when u put it on the top. maybe u should use mascara on your eye lash so the skin isnt easily seen.

you need to either using your finger or a brush blend the line in so it looks natural and fill in the inner part of your eye too.
