Jon Kitna led the league in turnovers so i want them to take Brady Quinn becuase i think he's going to be the best player out of that draft class however, Mel Kiper says they will take Joe Thomas an OFFENSIVE LINEMAN with the second pick thats absurd so any thoughts...

a few senarios. Jon Kitna is a servicable QB. his line sucks alot. alot of his Turnoevers were off of the line breaking down too fast and he had to Throw a bad pass or he drops the ball.
now, i see jemarcus russell as a great pick for the Lions, however i see the Raiders are going to most likely pick him up. Jemarcus Russell has enough awareness to avoid rushers, which is what is needed. if you guys cannot get Jemarcus Russell then Joe Thomas will be your next best bet. it is not very absurd, offensive tackles (not gaurds) are taken in the first round usually, and Joe Thomas is a really good OT, probably can take on 2 rushers if he wanted to. the jets used 2 first round picks to get offensive linemen, and notice how much they have improved.

however somehow i think that Brady Quinn will be drafted by the Lions but the line will have alot of problems still and Quinn's rookie year might end up looking like Alex Smith's rookie year.

It's not that absurd. The reason why Kitna had so many turnovers was that the Lions were forced to pass a lot because of a crappy run offense. Kevin Jones almost had as many receiving yards as rushing yards! Thomas is a beast who can open up the run game. When that happens, the legit Lions receiving core will take over.

Brady Quinn is not a great QB. he will end up like Kitna, a serviceable QB who gets on a decent team and takes them to the playoffs 2 or 3 times in his career. if Quinn hadn't had Charlie Weis the last two years, he would be projected bottom 1st top 2nd rounder.

Don't be so harsh on John Kitna, I think he well lead the Lions to the playoffs and considering this is his first full season as a full time starting QB give him time (Literally). With Roy Williams and a good lineman picked up in FA or the draft, The Lions well have a good offense. They need to improve defense and keep Corey reeding (Thou I would like him to come to the texans).

Lions go to superbowl????????????????????? :)

also a huge lions fan, without a decent line the lions will never move the ball backus on one side thomas on the other could be pretty dominant. Hoping hes more of a orlando pace or johnthan ogden not robert gallery though. with a little protection and another versatile Rb kitna will be OK

even peyton couldnt help the Lions without an offensive line. look at the Jets how good they became with drafting D'Brick last year. they got okay recievers with Williams leading them. it will be a good pick picking up Joe.

taking a chance pick quinn instead of joe thomas and draft blalock from texas in the second round

Historians do characteristic seven of the letters to Paul. the different seven are forgeries (Romans, a million-2 Corinthians, Galatians, Philippians, a million Thessalonians, Philemon). (Ephesians, Colossians, 2 Thessalonians) are very probably not his. some scholars nevertheless argue slightly over those although the information is on the fringe of them not being unique writings. 3 extra are genuinely not from him (a million-2 Timothy, Titus). So there are books attributed to Paul which at the instantaneous are not Paul's. may that not propose that words which at the instantaneous are not the words of God are surely interior the Bible as well?

WOW, you want the lions to pick Brady Quinn?!?!?! WTF is wrong with you? He's got bust written all over him... And Joe Thomas... if the lions blow the second pick o' the draft on a OL, they deserve to suck. If the Lions had any good brains, they'd pick up Adrian Peterson. He's by far the best RB in the draft and he's a power and speed runner the lions need with a weak OL. Adrian Peterson = Great pick

They should take a QB if they are smart. Either Quinn or JaMarcus Russell. If they pick a wide receiver they are dumb because things didnt work out well when they drafted Charles Rogers, or Roy Williamsm, or Mike Williams.

If the Raiders take JaMarcus Russell, I see the Lions probably taking Quinn, or trading with Cleveland, and Quinn going to Cleveland...
