i.e. are there decent vacume cleaners you can run off a portable power supply,also motorised buffer mops etc... any tips/advice much appreciated

take a job valeting cars for a few weeks you will get all the info then go and get everything you need

A waterless car wash, hmm sounds intresting, lol, the best thing i think is for you to buy a van nothing to big because of running costs but one with a side door to load area then get a half decent generator 1800 watt set you back £150- £180 to power your hoover and stuff ( make sure that it is bolted in they are gold dust mate) then get all you other stuff in the van and away you go mate . there is nothing worse than a mobile valeter asking to run an extension lead from your home mate so a generator is a must.
