I love subjective questions....I prefer Samuel L Jackson because he can be funny, serious, a hero or a vilan, passive or militant, and he is always likable (or hateable depending on what he's going for).....and he carried a wallet that said "Bad Mother..." you know the rest (Pulp Fiction). I wouldn't say that Denzel is one-dimensional, but Denzel can only be Denzel. His roles and characters are relatively predictable and I, for one, would like to see him leap out of the box and take on a role that it totally outside his niche.

Samuel L Jackson. He can play the good guy and the bad guy effortlessly. Pulp Fiction, A Time To Kill, The Negotiator, The Long Kiss Goodnight and Jackie Brown are a few of his best films.
