For example: going into IE7, clicking on Tools, internet options - there is the box. How can I embed this into emails etc. "as is"? Is there a way or can't it be done?

On your keyboard there should be a button which says the following: prt scr Sys Rq.
Press this button. Then go into microsoft word and paste it. Save it and then attach it to your email.
There you have it!

Yes, there is a way... several, in fact.

Here's the easiest.

There are groups of keys on your keyboard. The biggest is with all the letters, above it are the F-keys (F1 - F12). Next to the F12 is a group of 3 keys. The first one says Prt Scr Sys Req.

This is the print screen key. Tapping it gets your computer to take a picture of what's on the screen - but it's not saved anywhere. Go into Paint (Start > Programs > Accessories > Paint) and choose Edit > Paste.
Save this by clicking on File > Save As... and choose in the box at the very bottom "PNG" and call the file whatever you want in the box just above this.

To send the picture you need to go into your "My Documents" and find the picture. After that... I'm sure you know how to send images.

You can use the Print Screen button (labeled "PrtScr / SysRq"). You just need to paste the screenshot onto a WORD document or something.

If you only want the dialog box or the active screen, use the Alt button along with the PrtScr button. This will only capture the active window.

Hitting the Print Screen button on your keyboard will take a picture of whatever's on your screen at any time, you can paste this into something like MS Paint and save it off as a JPEG, then you can do whatever you want with the picture.

Press your "print screen" key on the top of your keyboard. This places a snap of your whole desktop on your clipboard. Open up a photo editing program and access the "edit" menu. You will see an entry like"paste as new". then crop the photo down to what you want.
