I hope you get a good answer, I've been searching Yahoo!Answers for this same thing. So far I have the following:
1) Cake/Cookies
2) Flowers
3) A CD
4) A heartfelt letter
5) A 'Memory Box' to store photos, letters, and memoirs.
6) A teddy bear or some fluffy thing (sleep with it a few nights to make it 'feel' and smell like you, he'd like that even though he won't admit it)
7) A home-made dinner
8) A night on the town, including a dinner at a quiet diner and a movie of his choice
Hope this helps...it helped me!

Bake him something sweet, like cookies or brownies or something similar. Wrap it on a plate in colored plastic wrap with a bow on top. A small card (preferably homemade) would be nice too. I remember my girlfriend in high school did this, and I thought it was so sweet that she took the time and trouble to do it. That was over 25 years ago, and I still remember it now.

avoid flowers, hearts, and chocolates. show some love with a homemade valentine's card and/or some music (a CD, ipod, etc) and a big kiss.
We, men, aren't as romantic as most women, but expect something nice from him.

Mix Cds are old and lame. I would suggest making him something to eat. Like cookies or a small cake.

Make him a mix cd.
Do people still do that since there are mp3s now?
