A snake seems to be the right answer. Don't use Drano in toilets! It generates heat and could crack the toilet. By the way, Hopflower is an idiot--you do not need to call an "expert" or a "tradesman" everytime you have a problem that also could be solved by calling an expert; if you did you would spend thousands of dollars on ordinary fixes that you as a normal adult should be able to fix yourself. A clogged toilet is something you should be able to deal with yourself, unless it is a persistent problem, in which case you might need a plumber who can snake out the drain much farther down the pipe than you can with a consumer-grade snake.

might have something blocking the flow. In my case it was my sons tooth brush. Might have to buy a "snake" at a hardware store ($30)and use it to go through the turns in your toilet. Have a bf or husband or some guy you know to do it. Messy job and not fun. But if you can find someone willing cook him a dinner/ buy him some beer and it'll make it all worth it.
Otherwise pony up some money and have a plumber come in and do the job for like $200.00. Up to you.

Go to the hardware store and buy a Closet Auger. It is a curved pipe with a flexable wire ( snake) trhat is designed just for that purpose. Cost about $20..Read the directions...As far as the blockage goes, if your body did not produce it don't put it in the toilet, with the exception of toilet tissue..Have at it . Should be done in five minutes..

Well obviously it is clogged. You will need to use a "snake" That is one of those long wire things that the plumbers use to clear the pipe out further down the drain. You could rent or buy one or just call a plumber.

The clog might be farther down the pipes. Your best bet is to call a plumber unless you know someone who can look at it for you. Also if you have a basement check down there to be sure you don't have water in the basement from all of this.

Could be you need to drain the septic tank, does this happen to your shower?
If not toilets do break after a long while and need to be replaced, maybe your toilet needs replacement.
If it's a clogged toilet maybe you should try with a clothes hanger, just twist it so it becomes sturdy and stick it in there, maybe something is stuck!

your going to need to use a toilet snake,,sounds like a foreign object like a toy or something stuck in the trap !!! you can have a plumber do it or buy your own at a good hardware store...pretty sure this will bring out the blockage ... good luck.
