i started taking clomid last month and i had sex as the doctor advise me and my period still came on.and its on right now and he started me on clomid again today.my question is since some people say that u can get pregnant on your cycle.i was wondering can i take a ovulation test while my cycle is on to see if im ovulating or not

I'm not sure how clomid works. But I wouldn't bother wasting an ovulation test while on your period.

The best way to know when you are ovulating is by charting your fertility signs. In fact, I think clomid would be more effective if you are charting too b/c you would be able to time it better.
I highly recommend the following resources: Fertilityfriend.com (software for free and for purchase, online charting tutorial). Ovusoft.com (charting software for purchase and discussion groups), Couple-to-Couple League (not sure of the website). The books: Taking Charge of Your Fertility (assoc w/ ovusoft) and Garden of Fertility. TCOYF at least should be available at the library.

Yes you can...that's a pretty low chance of getting pregnant on your period...but studies have been done that some women ovulate twice in their cycle.
