A great question, Humanist! Wasn't there some comedian who said if they're so grateful, he should be able to wander the streets shouting "You're welcome! You're welcome!"

Your rhetoric nails it: they're not grateful to him. I wouldn't be grateful to anyone who killed 600,000+ of my fellow citizens and helped my friends make money through war-profiteering companies like Halliburton, either.

Ha, Ha! Good one. I need a laugh and that sardonic question hit the spot. It’s like asking why Israelis didn’t invite former Nazi Party members over for the founding of Israel. I suppose just the shower of gratitude to Bush would be too dangerous, considering that the shower would be comprised of bullets and bombs. Maybe they can greet him with a “surge” of their own.

Do you honestly think the terrorist will be happy to see him & roll out the red carpet?

Have any of you been to Iraq? My guess is NO, this is your opinion, you use the information you get from news reports that do not show the positive sides - just negative. My brother as well as other family members & friends have served in Iraq & all tell the same story of people in the streets thanking them - begging them to stay! Won't see that on the evening news!

same reason the entire Iraqi government is trapped in the Green Zone, they would get blown up. I don't know why people rationalize and say, its OK in the north, its calm in the south. Imagine if Washington DC was under seige each day and lawmakers had to meet in bunkers, and we say, but its fine in Kansas or Minnesota, none of us would think the country was functioning.

Cmon man , you have a good enough head on your shoulders that you don't need to post nonsense like this . The answer is obvious and I'm insulted that you'd even lower yourself to ask . There are terrorists and insurgents and just plain hateful Iraqis that would die to kill him... . . literally . Same goes for our country . And ANY president .
