It's called a Gorge!
The most beautiful one that I have seen was St George's Gorge on South Island New Zealand. It is pristine with almost no population for many miles.

Why not look in your text book for the answer? I can think of several terms that would apply, but the teacher is only going to credit you for the answer they expect to hear. In other words, we don't know what your teacher or textbook told you is the correct term.

The part I love is that you're going to get a bunch of different answers on this one which is going to force you to look up the answer anyway. Sucks to have to actually learn things, doesn't it?

I agree w/ AZ Imagined. Look in your textbook & if you forgot it thats your problem- fail like every1 else who is irresponsible.
