well, i'm a rapper, and i need beats to rap on, i'm using Reason 3.0... i'm 1 or 2 level(s) higher than a beginner...i'm getting better and better by time, i know time is all this is about, but what's the best way to get better?

You need to start listening to other genres of music to get other sounds into your head. Some rappers only think of hip hop beats and that can limit you.
Might sound a little crazy, but listen to some hard core rock,some country, teeny bop pop, oldies music

Best way to get better is to practice. Try Cool Edit as well. It is good software and pretty easy to use. I got some friends that rap and make their own beats. Cool Edit works very well for them.

Practice beats from other styles of music then mix them together with hip hop beats and use the ones that sound good.
