ok, i basically invited my friend to a concert, but as i got to know him, he was a jerk to me, annoying, and bossy. so now i don't want him to come. me, my mom, and my 2 friends r coming. the only thing i came up with is that there won't be enough room in the car. i'm having trouble coming up with who b/c if he asks why there won't be enough room, what do i say? thank you. and i considered honesty, but he's too sensitive.

honesty above anything.... you can always try to soft word he deseves that from you....
well other than that you can say you want some time alone with you friends and family, you can always say your parentes don't like to many people in the car or you don't have a belt in the middle... so there won't be space for him....
and say your sorry ...he will melt...

You don't have to tell him why, he's not the boss of you. Otherwise, some good excuses could be that your mom fell sick and can't drive you there, a member of the band or whatever got hurt and was replaced by someone else so you don't want to go now, and that your mom doesn't like him (haha).
I really can't think of anything else right now, but I've been in your situation many times before. All I can say is good luck!

Excuse is another way to spell 'LIE'.
A sensitive jerk, an interesting concept.
Be straight, but be kind. You've changed your mind. It's not working out. Etc.

If he treats you so harsh, why are you concerned about sparing his feeling. He does not show you the same repect. I would tell him the truth, it may hurt, but he could learn a valuable lesson on how to treat people you call friends.
The truth is always the best.

Did you consider just sucking it up and going to the concert with him? You'll be in a group, it shouldn't ruin the evening.

try being honest with him....just tell him things aren't working about between you and you'd rather spend the time at the concert with your girlfriends....
