every State sets a certain number of points you can lose before you lose your license from to many points taken off, such as they set 15 points, then you get 4 subtracted for a ticket. then 4 more. then 4 more .then 4 more, then you have lost your license.then you can apply for a special license just to do to work and back.

It means that the more points taken from your license means your driving priviledges are soon to be revoked. I also means your a "bad driver". Shape up or don't drive at all.

points taken off your license means that you have less accidents or tickets reflected on your current driving record which also means your insurance will go down

I'm pretty sure that points on your liscence is referreing to the number of accidents or tickets you have. Therefore having points taken off your liscence means that you have less accidents or tickets reflected on your current driving record.
