I am always looking for a good author that has several books in a series. I prefer female writers that are funny. I would love any suggestions. Thanks

The Grafton books are good. So are those by:

Nevada Barr
Lisa Scottoline
Karen Kijewski
Laurie King
Dianne Mott Davidson
JA Jance

James Patterson's 1st to Die series (he's not a woman, and they aren't funny, but I like them, and they are very woman centered).

I love the Plum series too. Hands down my fav!
Check out James Patterson's number series about the Women's Murder Club. It's amazing that a man wrote these books considering how accurate he is with the women's feelings.
1st to Die
2nd Chance
3rd Degree
4th of July
5th Horseman.

Some of them even made me cry--something that books rarely do.

Also Sara Paretsky and her books about the female private eye VI Warshawski (start with Indemnity Only).

I love Sue Grafton's ABC series. She's the one who writes A is for Alibi, B is for Burglary, etc.... She is up to S right now. A is a little boring but after that it picks up!!
