My sister in laws goat has a kid (a female) . The last few days, when she goes to nurse, she takes the teat but when she sucks all the milk runs out of her mouth. She doesn't seem to be trying to swallow! Is it time to call a vet?

I would just to be sure but chances are she is swallowing but she is sucking so hard too much milk is coming out for her to swallow. Have your sister in law try rubbing the kid's throat downwards as she sucks to get her to swallow. If that doesnt work, call the vet just to be sure. Good Luck

Sometimes the teat goes dry or is giving very little milk. Yes call a vet. Now go forth and swallow you degenerate.

i would call the vet only because she could be lactose intolerant or her glands that allows her to swallow might not be working right
