Actually yes too both.. When I was younger I saved a guy named shawn's life. It was the 4th of july and we was at the river. There was a lot of drinking going on. I didn't even know who he was at the time. He was really drunk and decided 2 go in to the water I noticed that he was getting too the point where he was having A LOT of trouble. NOT one of his friends was even trying to help him :( so I jumped in the water and helped him back up too the bank :) Would he have died if I wasn't there? That I can not answer but I wasn't gonna wait around 2 find out. And about someone saving my life... My husband saved my life! I was down in the dumps/very suicidal until he came in to my life. I was ready to give up on everyone and everything. Than I met him and I knew things would be better for me :) We still have our problems and fights. I love him more than anything and don't know what I would do without him!

Yes. My eldest daughter was not quite two when she took too big a bite on a strawberry and it got caught in her throat. I had to flip her upside down and bang her on the back to get it to pop out. Then a week later, almost to the day, my 15 month old daughter was chewing on a teething biscuit and a piece broke off and lodged in her throat. I had to repeat the same procedure on her. After nine months of carrying them and labor I was going to be damned if I let them die over a piece of food, I'll tell you what.

yes,i was in a laundromat doing the weekly wash, the old laundry attendant was at a table counting the change from the machines.all of a sudden he lurched from his seat and fell over on the floor.everybody and i mean everybody started running out the laudromat like they had saw a ghost.i ran over to the man and turned his head to the side and opened his shirt at the neck, blood and foam was coming out his mouth and i didn;t want him to choke.then i called the fire dept.it was a blessing they were only two blocks away, when the paramedics came i just got my clothes and left.i came back two months later and the man smiled at me and spoke,he had never did this in the four years i had lived there.

Not anyone human, unless you count the time I kept my nephew from possibly breaking his neck by jumping off of a chair as a toddler. I have saved the lives of kittens before.

I performed the Heimlich on someone choking...in the hospital cafeteria where I work. Ironically, I'm a medical transcriptionist, and there was a table of RNs right next to us who just sat there staring.

Yes, my little sister. We were swimming at a pool we'd never been at before and she jumped in the deep water. My dad yelled, my mom screamed and I jumped in and saved her. (This was when she was about 4).
