I'll vote for Hillary Rodham Clinton. She is the best candidate for the job.

I would vote for a minority president, but I wouldn't vote for a female president at this time.

I think that the United States could benefit from having a minority president. It shows the rest of the world that our population is open to more than a white, Christian president. The majority of the world is not white, and Islam is as popular as Christianity in other parts of the world. It might not do a lot, but it would improve the view that people worldwide have of Americans.

I don't think that the world is ready for a female president. The United States has taken it upon itself to police the world. This is not a possibility with a female president. We need to be able to talk to countries like North Korea and Iran, neither of which have any respect for women. I think a female would be better off as vice president for the time being.

I'm a conservative, but if I had to choose between the two.... I would vote for Obama because he seem like a respectable character who wants nothing better than to further America's development, but it doesn't matter. I'm gonna guess and say that the government (or Hillary) is going to "stumble" upon documents saying Obama is or has been in direct relations with terrorists (all this right before elections) making Hillary win Primary.

The time has not arrived for anything! Neither Hillary or Obama.
We, as Americans, should only vote for the right person not a political party. If Hillary or Obama are the right people to run for president then the people should decide. As far as I am concerned neither one is right for the job. Hillary is too flip-flop and devious and Obama is too young. I would only vote for someone who has had previous government experience and who is a solid, honest person (male or female doesn't matter). This means that the only person so far that meets my requirements is Rudy Giuliani but I frankly doubt that he will be chosen because of his beliefs in a woman's rights and gun control. I do not support him on gay rights but this isn't a big enough issue for me to hold back my vote.

No. How about choosing the right person for the job. People like you that think "[t]he time has come to have either a woman or minority in the office of the president" are what is wrong with America.

There is no requisite that the next president be anything other than that specified by the US Constitution.

And besides, Hillary and Obama are not running by themselves. Heck, they don't even have their nomination yet.

Thanks.

Why? Why a woman and why a minority? Isn't it okay that we find the most qualified person to fill the job? If you want a minority or women, don't limit it to those two, neither of which should be president. I am a woman and I don't want a woman for President, and I certainly don't want Obama.

That's kind of a hard decision because neither is like a textbook candidate. But tell you you what Obama brings what I would call a child like zeal and optimism which could be very cotagious. One thing I know for sure time will tell. If I have to vote now, Obama

First they can't run against each other. Secondly you didn't name the winner? i.e. the Republican.

Just putting a minority or a woman in office will not fix the middle east. You need ideas. I have heard none. The only thing I've heard is Obama is black and Hillary is the savior. HOW??? Dems you need ideas!!! Why can't you see that?!

Barack gets my vote. Hillary has already lived in the White House
and having a sex offender for first guy is not the right image for Dems to send throughout the world.

Hillary, and if she was not running then obama. it is time for a changed, we have had nothing but white males in the white house as president and we have seen what they have done, or rather not done. so why not try something different. america has already shown we want something different when dems took over congress.

I am hoping that John Edwards will be the candidate but I will vote for Clinton or Obama if either one is the nominee. They are all good choices.
