my suggestion is to stop using the baby oil, i have 5 children and i know people recommend this, but i find it goes away quicker if you just wash with baby shampoo, it will take less then a week or so

My son developed cradle cap early. My pediatrician recommended rubbing baby oil onto his scalp and then an hour later shampooing. It worked immediately! My son is 4 months old and recently I thought that he had psoriasis or really bad dry scalp. The other night my husband did the same regimen that the pediatrician had recommended and it worked again! Try using a good amount of baby oil an hour or so before his bath, comb thru his hair, and then shampoo. If this does not work, perhaps my one of those cradle cap kits. Good luck!

Ok, i don;t know how much help I am going to be because I don;t remember what it is called but I am sure you can go to the babies r us web site and you can find it. It is made by gerber it is a cradle cap kit and it comes with a few different things to treat the cradle cap. I used it for my daughter and it worked great I just don;t have it no more that's why I am not sure what the name is exactly. I hope you can find it. Good Luck.

wet his head, use a baby comb and scrpe it off gently, then wash his hair carefully with regular head and shoulders, then put baby oil on it afterward. repeat 2-3 times and it will go away completely. My DR recommended that and it worked. Be careful not to get the shampoo into his eyes!

My doctor recommended using a soft toothbrush and head and shoulders every couple days. I was nervous about the head and shoulders, but I just made sure it didn't get in his eyes. We did that for a while, and then once most of it had gone I continued with his normal Johnson's shampoo and the toothbrush. It did go away, just took a couple weeks of doing this.

Here's what you do: Go buy a soft bristled toothbrush and when you give your baby a bath, put the shampoo on his head and gently scrub his head with the toothbrush. It will loosen up the scales on his head.

My kid kept falling out of his high chair and landing on his head, and that took care of the cradle cap. But now he sleeps 22 hours a day, though.
